Revelation 20
Summary:
Revelation 20 outlines the one thousand years, or millennium, in which all the wicked are dead on the earth, the righteous have been taken to heaven at the second coming of Jesus, and Satan and his angels are restricted to earth with nothing to do but think about the ruin they have caused. Then the righteous participate in the final sentencing of the wicked (verse 4). At the end of the millennium, the New Jerusalem comes down from God out of heaven, the wicked dead are raised to life to receive their punishment, and the wicked prepare to take the city by force. Once they march on the city, the final battle of the universe is fought—Gog and Magog. Fire comes down from God out of heaven and devours the wicked with Satan and his angels. Death and hell are the final enemies to be forever destroyed.
