Daniel Chapter 2
Summary:
Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, are sentenced to death along with all the other wise men in Babylon for failure to tell King Nebuchadnezzar the dream he could not remember. The king had dreamed about an image with a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, legs of iron, and feet part of iron and part of clay. After Daniel’s fervent prayer God reveals the king’s dream and its meaning to Daniel. The astonishing interpretation is a detailed view of the world’s empires covering thousands of years, and an outline of the future that predicts precisely what is now world history. History comes alive as the meaning of this dream unfolds, providing some of the strongest possible evidence that God’s word is true, reliable, and infallible.
